By Jay Presson Allen
Adapted from the novel by Muriel Spark
At the staid Marcia Blaine School for Girls, Miss Jean Brodie is unmistakably in her prime as she captures the hearts and minds of the impressionable young girls in her classroom. They get the lessons of their lives as Miss Brodie instills in her proclaimed “crème de la crème” independence, passion, and ambition. As Miss Brodie demonstrates with her own attractions and unorthodox methods, “Safety does not come first. Goodness, truth, and beauty come first. Follow me!”
